Terms of Service
Last updated October 30, 2026
These terms apply when you use Ostra, the email client at ostramail.com and its desktop app. By using Ostra you agree to them.
Your account
You need an account to use Ostra, and you're responsible for what happens under it. Only connect mail accounts that you own or are allowed to access.
Your content
Your mail stays yours. You give Ostra permission to access, store and process it only as needed to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
- Don't use Ostra to send spam, phishing, malware or mail you don't have the right to send.
- Don't try to break, overload or get around Ostra's security or limits.
- Follow the terms of the mail providers you connect, such as Google and Microsoft.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
AI features
AI sorting and drafts can be wrong. Check what Ostra writes before you send it.
Availability and changes
Ostra is in early access. Features may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell signed-in users.
Ending
You can stop using Ostra and delete your account at any time. Deleting your account deletes your data, as the Privacy Policy describes.
Disclaimer and liability
Ostra is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Keep your own copies of anything important; your mail providers remain the source of truth for your mail. To the extent the law allows, Ostra isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, from using the service.
